You can walk along the promenade to nearby Duquesa or Sabinillas with their many amenities and cafes and restaurants. For kids the urbanisation is ideal as there are many pathways which are all pedestrianized meaning that they can safely ride around the urbanisation on their bikes.
The sunrises are spectacular and the moon is really incredible. The sky is unpolluted and at night, you can amble onto the beach and gaze at the stars.
